Solo developer, if you had to say 'what studio developed this?' I'd say Ape Go is the going name. But I'm still early in all this and I'm not dead set on any names.
What matters is the project. For the past year I've been working on an Unreal Engine game. Inspired by my favorite genres. Survival. Action. Rpg.
All my assets are homegrown- no third person assets are going to be in the resulting project. Every texture, every poly, and every animation passes through my hands before landing on your screen.
It's not just for quality control- but for personality. Soul. I hope it makes a difference in the player experience because I know it does for me.
I create my textures by taking photos with my 48mega pixel camera and run those through 'Materialize', a PBR material generator tool. Free and open source.
I then use those materials in Blender. Modeling and animating objects or characters
After that, I export them as FBX files and use them in Unreal. Using the blueprint logic system there to handle things like firing weapons, or opening doors.
It's a simply workflow but I have a firm grasp of every nuance regarding rigging, topology, shading, level design, narrative, and every other aspect of game design. This project is meant to be a training excercise to refine my techniques. If you enjoy my project[s] feel free to follow me on the following social media apps;

I don't have a patreon or anything like this yet. Once I have a playable section or early access version available I may add something like this, it just feels a little early in the project for stuff like that. For now, follow for future updates!
